ICE Watch: ICE Arrests Two Pedestrians in East Boston Day Square

Date and Time: Tuesday September, 9, 2025, ~1:00AM

Location: Day Square, East Boston

A user made a post to Reddit with this caption.

I sat at this restaurant waiting to order. ICE agents surrounded the area and asked random people for their papers. They arrested two pedestrians. This guy looked no more than 25 years old, just crossing the street with his food in hand. ICE agents asked him for his papers and put him in handcuffs when he said he didn’t have it with him. (East Boston Day Square)

They also posted this in r/ICE_Raids.

The agent seen in the picture seems to be a male with dark hair, wearing a white shirt, light colored jeans, and a tactical vest with “police” on the back of it. The vehicle in the picture is navy blue, and may be a “Defend the Homeland” Dodge Durango Pursuit SUV. In the comments, the poster said that this took place around 1AM, per the screenshot they commented, and the second arrest happened about 10 minutes before the agents left.

Under the post, they commented this in response to someone saying that “ICE doesn’t go around asking people for their papers.”

Do you see the time stamp at the top? I pulled over to get food and went and spoke to the employees then spoke to the people outside. They already had one in custody. Then I watched them approach a man walking with food he had ordered and they pulled him aside. He couldn’t have been more than 23-24 years old. He looked visibly shaken.

⚠️DISCLAIMER⚠️I’ve seen a few comments spreading mis/disinformation about this person, so here’s a disclaimer to clear things up.

The original Reddit post had a screenshot of a different man named Mike Staton who commented under a post made by ICE talking about how he wanted liberals to be deported alongside illegal immigrants. After looking through his account, I found out that this is not the same person; this is also mentioned in the article.

A few users on the original Reddit post were accusing him of being a pedophile with no proof to back it up, and I got another comment under one of my posts as well. One user noted that people were commenting things of that nature for search engine optimization, so it would be associated with his name, but again, there’s no proof of this being true.

Another commenter thought that this was Judge James Stanton. While their names are very similar, they’re not the same person. I initially thought that they were during research, until I saw this video by FOX25.

In Dallas Texas, an ICE prosecutor named James Rodden was exposed after Steven Monacelli, a journalist from the Texas Observer caught him on his phone during an immigration hearing. His account was called GlomarResponder, a neo-Nazi Twitter account with around 17k followers. When it comes to law enforcement holding white supremacist views, it’s not really that shocking to me, and it’s becoming harder to give them a lot of benefit of the doubt.

While a pretty good majority of ICE “agents” are cowering behind their beige gaiters and their Temu tactical gear, there’s one “Special Agent Criminal Investigator” who doesn’t shy away from the spotlight.

This is James “Mike” Staton. On Saturday, June 7, 2025, a Reddit user uploaded a few images of Staton along with some screenshots from Facebook (though the account is not the same Mike Staton), images of his and his partners vehicles, and a picture of his business card. The poster said that he was seen between East Somerville and Union, Mass. This is what they wrote in the caption:

Meet “Mike” [Staton], a special agent with ICE who decided that Saturday morning was a great time to come harass our community. When neighbors asked him what he was up to, he claimed he was “investigating iPhone package thefts”… and then literally gave them a business card with his ICE email address before running away (so much for the tough guy tats!). His Facebook indicates he’s a real charmer too. If you see Mike in his silver Ford Bronco (license plate 2TKA18) or his buddies in a black Ford Expedition (2CKT12), grey Dodge Journey (6YN899), and silver Jeep Grand Cherokee (8KB435) make sure to call the LUCE hotline at 617–370–5023 give them a hearty Somerville “get the fuck out of here”.

After running his face through a reverse image search, I found him in a few different places. I found an image of him on a website called Stage32, a platform dedicated to networking and education within the entertainment industry. He’s been a member since 2014 and was active as recently as two weeks ago (as of 6/11/2025). It also says that he’s a screenwriter out of Tucson Arizona, which lines up with the cellphone number that he provided on his business card since “520” is the area code serving the Tucson area.

He uses the same image for his now deleted LinkedIn account where he gives his job credentials.

Mike Staton’s now deleted LinkedIn page

Another commenter posted a screenshot of his deleted account on Google, and it also says that he attended Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina.

His Substack account was one of the first results that I got through the reverse image search. It led me to a comment that he made under a 2023 article from the former YouTuber and Scottish white supremacist neo-Nazi, Colin Robertson, or Millennial Woes that was titled “Age of Inversion.” In this article, he complains about Confederate statues being taken down, and Black history museums being built.

And the end of this article is quite telling to say the least.

Western society today, whether it is England or Sweden or Germany, heaves and twitches and struggles under a system of institutions that are working constantly to destroy it and drive its citizens into despair and eventually, presumably, extinction.

If those citizens ever woke up en masse, I can only think there would not be enough lamp posts for them to obtain their satisfaction. After such a density of organised lying, the explosive striving back towards truth would be beautiful but also terrifying. Who knows where it might end up; so many decades of deceit will have blinded us.

The lamp post comment is most likely in reference to the Tulle Massacre in 1944, where the Nazis hanged 99 civilians, some of which were from lamp posts.

This is the comment that he made.

The Substack comment made by Mike Staton

While some of his subscriptions on Substack are focused on Palestinian freedom and Islam, many of his subscriptions tend to focus on “whiteness” and “the west.”

Take Millennial Woes for example, whose most recently published article is pushing the white supremacist Great Replacement Theory and is riddled with neo-Nazi propaganda memes inside of it.

There’s also Year Zero that fearmongers about trans people, and RealThomas777 or 7HOMA7 7V, a self-proclaimed fascist, “Rock N Roll Terrorist” and “peckerwood,” a term that some neo-Nazi prison gang members use out west. Thomas’s personal website has a Triskele right in the middle of it.

Screenshot of RealThomas’ personal website

Another bigot-blog that he’s subscribed to is Auron MacIntyre’s who, on top of creating AI generated thumbnails of Joe Rogan or a crucifix during (what looks like) the Rapture, wrote an article about how “conservatives” are [powering] up” during pride month and winning the culture war while accusing queer people of targeting children.

I think its pretty clear why ICE agents are masking up. They probably don’t want to be exposed for what they truly are.

Here are some sources for any encounters/sightings of ICE.

ICE Identified: Razmik Madoyan

ICE Identified: Razmik Madoyan | by Sawyer Wells | Aug, 2025 | Medium

ICE agents have been masking up because they’re cowards who refuse to face the consequences of their actions, and because they know that they’ll be exposed like Razmik Madoyan

This is Razmik Madoyan. I first came across him in a video that was posted on r/ICE_Raids which you can watch here, but you can view a longer clip from the Los Angeles Times here. The caption says that the video was taken on August 13, 2025 at 1:36 PM. According to the Los Angeles Times, this was in front of a courthouse on Temple Street in Downtown LA.

The man being arrested, Stephen Reyes, was screaming for help as the thugs force him into the car. Reyes in court on Wednesday the 13th and was charged with possession of drugs with intent to sell. He left the courthouse on Temple Street before he was surrounded by law enforcement and forced into the car. Most of the agents were wearing masks, but the officer who got water thrown on him was Razmik Madoyan.

I made a comment below the post after I did some reverse image searching with the screen capture of his face, and I found him a few different places. He’s pictured holding an award with a group of people on the website for the Institute of Southeast Asian Archaeology, or the ISEAA where it says that he’s on the investigative team for Operation Antiquity (OA). This was from an award ceremony in Los Angeles on October 21st, 2016. The same image is posted on a different website called Matichon Online discussing the same event.

“Awards given to the Operation Antiquity team. The award ceremony was in Los Angeles, CA. October 21st, 2016.” | Razmik Madoya is standing at the far left

Madoyan is also pictured in this article from Homeland Security Today, titled “ICE Returns Ancient Artifacts to the Republic of Iraq — HS Today.” The article is about Special Agents with ICE and HSI returning ancient artifacts to the Republic of Iraq, detailing what was found, and how they found them.

After I posted that comment, that’s all the information that I had on him, until a commenter posted an image of that first picture where you’re able to see what his name is. That comment got deleted by moderators for doxxing, but that’s when I started to do more research. I’ll be honest, I haven’t read all of these sources because some of them are books and academic journals, but let’s take a look at what I found.

razmik madoyan | LinkedIn — On this LinkedIn account, he says that he lives in Glendale, California and attended UCLA from 2000–2001. This account doesn’t seem to be active anymore.

Madoyan Razmik | LinkedIn — This is another LinkedIn account that’s more active with a more detailed work experience. Here, it says that he went to UCLA for psychology from March 1999-January 2001, and got a masters degree in forensic science and technology at National University from January 2005–2007. He worked as a Security Guard/Museum Store Clerk for Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, California for three years (1998–2001), was a Healthcare Specialist — Medic in Germany, Iraq, and Ft. Still for the US Army for almost four years (2002–2005), a counselor for the VA in LA County for 1 year and 8 months (2006–2007), and has been working at the Homeland Security Investigations for 18 years and a month as of today. He was a Special Agent for 13 years (2007–2020), a group supervisor for 1 year and 6 months (2020–2022), an Assistant Attache in Abu Dhabi for 3 years (2022–2024), and a group supervisor again starting back in January of this year, 2025.

X-ray fluorescence applied to yellow pigments based on lead, tin and antimony: comparison of laboratory and portable instrumentation — CORE Reader — This is a Book of Abstracts for Non-destructive and microanalytical techniques in art and cultural heritage. Razmik Madoyan is listed as the author for the section titled “Photoluminescence and forensic detection of ancient pigments.”

Postmortem changes | Open Library — He is also cited here as a “prolific author” in what seems to be a collection of books about postmortem changes. He wrote a book called “The effects of environmental conditions and causes of death on postmortem changes.”

(PDF) Countering the trafficking of antiquities 10 14 Sept 2023 QNL Himaya — This is an academic paper called “Countering the trafficking of antiques 10 14 Sept 2023 QNL Himaya.” In the paper, Madoyan is cited as the “Assistant Attaché for the Department of Homeland Security at U.S. Embassy Abu Dhabi, UAE,” where he was hosting a session on smuggled Syrian mosaics. He’s also cited on this website here.

USA v. Singh (2:21-mj-04027), California Central District Court — This is a court case where he signed what seems to be an out-of-district warrant on August 27, 2021.

Portable Antiquity Collecting and Heritage Issues: Stolen Cambodian artefacts repatriated from US museums case (Operation Antiquity) — This is an article about stolen Cambodian artifacts where the author cites an excerpt from an ICE press release (link is now defunct) where they say that Madoyan, working as an ICE Special Agent, started a digital investigation to recover some of these ancient artifacts.

Around town & beyond — Beyond The Acorn — This seems to be an advertisement for what seems to be a lecture of some sort on art smuggling. The same can be found here in a paper called Moorpark Acorn from February 28, 2020. For that event, they say that his identity has to be protected so photographs would not be permitted.

(PDF) Film Festival and the rhythm of social inclusivity — He is cited twice in this article as well, which is a paper that discusses film festivals and more specifically, personal experience that people have had at the Singapore International Film Festival from 1997 to 2003.

Lessons Given in Illicit Antiquities Trade — The Voice of Wilkinson — He was mentioned in this article about a presentation that he gave about smuggling antiques. [archived]

Edit: Theres a longer version of the video which you can see here. It was originally posted by the Los Angeles Times.

Edit 2: I added more context, citing the Los Angeles Times.
